The museum has two parts : one for free visit and the mine on a guided tour.

Groups with guided tour “In the manner of Fabergé” – Workshops for 10 people. Includes the provision of guides for a complete tour of the museum and the mine. Times and duration of guided tours: 14h30, 15p.m. and in summer 4:30 p.m. (from June to September) and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings in July and August, approximately duration 45 minutes.

Visit conditions

Fixed schedule & guide : Only on fixed slots, accompanied by a museum guide.
Duration : 45 minutes approx..
Temperature in the mine : ~10°C in winter / ~20°C in summer.

LANGUAGES & Homepage

Homepage : French and English 🇫🇷 🇬🇧
Guided tour : Insured in French (audio guides available in English 🇬🇧, German 🇩🇪 and Italian 🇮🇹).
Animals : I was not admitted, with the exception of guide dogs 🐕‍🦺.

🔒 Museum closures : Annual closure of 16 December to February 1 inclusive, as well as May 1st, 1is novembre et 11 November.

🌱 Prepare your arrival : Sustainable mobility & electric charging

As part of our eco-responsible commitment, we encourage you to favor gentle and alternative modes of transport to the private car (bus, bike) to reach the museum.

⚡ You come by electric vehicle ? An eBorn network terminal (2 prises Type 2, max 22 kW) is available for less than 30 meters from the museum, near the bus station.

♿ The accessibility policy of the Musée des Gueules Rouges

1. The Tourism label & Handicap 4 Families with Disabilities ♿ 🧠 👁️ 👂

Obtained for the first time in 2015 for motor and mental disabilities, the museum benefited from the renewal of the label “Tourism and Disability” 17 december 2020 for the 4 families with disabilities (engine, mental, auditory and visual).
We obtained the renewal of the tourism and disability label in May 2026.

This approach extends the museum’s desire for accessibility since its opening., by ensuring the training of staff in personalized welcome and the installation of suitable equipment.
