PARADE – Exhibition of PIERRE ARDOUVIN

The titles of the exhibitions Pierre Ardouvin, carefully and mischievously chosen by the artist, among which “It’s all a matter of decor”, « Marcel », “Ghost Head Soup”, “Prove that you exist”, or « Purple Rain », easily suggest that « PARADE », title of the exhibition hosted at the Châteauvert Art Center and work produced for the occasion, if it refers to the world of the circus and especially to the eponymous film by Jacques Tati, is also a way of suggesting avoidance, the answer, diversion in the face of an unforeseen event or attack.

Pierre Ardouvin grasped territorial realities, not so far from those we call global, and their overflows, through its formal lexicon to compose a “PARADE” like a small world inhabited by domestic rides, like a joyful and melancholic invitation, fragile and concrete, where the maximum meets the minimum.
