LORETTE POUILLON — EXIT FROM RESIDENCE

Last step of the Path of Affinities 2026, Lorette Pouillon is welcomed at the Châteauvert Contemporary Art Center to pursue research where the landscape becomes an assemblage of presences, materials and shapes capable of coming to life.
The artist develops hybrid and flexible sculptures, sometimes close to the puppet, which blur the boundaries between object and living, setting and protagonist. In Chateauvert, she continues this exploration of unstable forms, moving, in which our ways of making are replayed, to represent and inhabit the living.
This residency outing will be an opportunity to enter the workshop and discover the research developed at the end of a journey started at the Galerie du Dourven in Trédrez-Locquémeau, continued at the Capuchins in Embrun, then completed at the Châteauvert Contemporary Art Center. The author, researcher and curator Fanny Van Opstal accompanies this edition.
Chemin des affinities is a collaborative traveling residency program supported by Arts in Residence – National Network, in partnership with reception structures and with the support of the La Petite Escalère endowment fund.
