“Moving in the subject of mobility” Exhibition of Aroussi Driss

Labeled territory 100% EAC, Provence Verte deploys residences throughout the year, notably in schools. It is in this dynamic that a partnership between the Art Center of Châteauvert and the Raynouard high school is enriched year after year many artistic and human experiences.

For the school year 2023-2024, The artist Driss Aroussi invited the students of two classes of 1^era Plastic arts option to react at the end of “mobility”.

This notion, If it spontaneously refers to travel in space, can also embrace questions of the order of the intimate. Mobility is also the ability to move inside a concept for, maybe, try to appropriate it.

Driss Aroussi lives and works in Marseille. His artistic work is polysemous, borrowing several research avenues, Navigating between experimentation and form close to the documentary thus articulating a form of political commitment to the desire to invent from the place where it is. A part of his work explores the questions of the process that makes the image advertise. The other part questions manual work in construction contexts, agrarian areas and arid places.
