The restored painting “The Old Port of Marseille” by Louis Nattero unveiled to the public

The painting by Louis Nattero is one of the works of interest in the Musée des Comtes de Provence.
Following a health study of fine arts collections, it appeared that this painting had many defects. The canvas was very stretched and the pictorial layer very dusty.
The Web, of large dimensions was restored at the CICRP – Interregional Center for the Conservation and Restoration of Heritage – in Marseille. After several months of work, the painting found its room of the Estates General at the Museum of the Counts of Provence. It is a wonder ! He is bright, well stretched on its chassis and with the restored frame.

Heritage Days Sunday, le 18 September, one of the restorers, Suzanna Gueritaud, will be present between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to meet the public and at 3 p.m. to explain her work in more detail.
