Sculpture garden – Inauguration of L’EPISODE by Sara FAVRIAU

L’Agglomération Provence Verte et le centre d’art contemporain de Châteauvert ont le plaisir de vous inviter à l’inauguration de L’EPISODE de Sara FAVRIAU, last work acquired for the sculpture garden on Friday 7 october 2022 at 18 o'clock.

À la fois oeuvre et écrin, la cabane L’EPISODE est une sculpture pensée en correspondance extérieur/intérieur :
– The exterior partitions, openly carved, keep track of the gesture, his history, his memory. According to Jean de Loisy, “manually assembled like a raw drawing, they reflect an aesthetic of quasi-baroque construction. A l’inverse, les sinusosités du geste sculptural créent un trouble qui les efface quasiment à notre regard». C’est l’Oeuvre de Sara Favriau, constituted by these huts that the public first discovers in its entirety.
– The interior walls remain industrially machined, linear, envelopes, stripped, tel un «white cube» pouvant (like at the Palais de Tokyo) or not (optional, and thus giving several possibilities of showing this work) welcome other artists. It is a question of going beyond the envelope and discovering the interior of the work through its openings (frame, Windows, portes).
