EXPOSITION “Skies, lands, mers, lights”

Sara Ouhaddou and Younes Rahmoun
At the crossroads of elements and worlds, the Mediterranean composes a landscape where the shapes, beliefs and actions have continued to transform. Inland Sea, home of civilizations, crossing space, it is a moving geography where ancient memories and contemporary renaissances intertwine.
Skies, lands, mers, lights proposes to explore this heritage in perpetual evolution through an atlas of metamorphoses : the skies as mirrors of imagination, lands as living archives, water as a matter of circulation and transmission, fires as the primary energy of breath and creation.
Guest artists, Sara Ouhaddou and Younes Rahmoun, activate this atlas by reinventing ancient gestures — from weaving to glass lamps, from Sufi rituals to everyday cosmologies — which they move into the present to open new forms of dialogue between the shores. Their work, rooted in craftsmanship, spirituality and experimentation, composes a Mediterranean story where tradition and contemporaneity illuminate each other.
Between circulation of know-how, mutations of materials and reactivation of vernacular motifs, the exhibition sketches a fluid Mediterranean, crossing, reinvented : a sea of shared transformations.
