Mediation residency of Faustine REIBAUD-NICOLI – Raynouard High School, Brignoles

The Provence Verte Agglomeration and the contemporary art center of Châteauvert have been developing a partnership with the Raynouard high school in Brignoles for several years as part of its artistic and cultural education actions and has invited Faustine Reibaud-Nicoli in a mediation residency over several months within the plastic arts option of the high school.

This project aims to create collectively in performative form – poetic and sound, by questioning the notion of territory, approached in its most diversified dimension. This work will be presented in the auditorium of the intercommunal conservatory in Brignoles.

Born in 1993, Faustine Reibaud-Nicoli is a director and visual artist. She lives and works between Correns and Marseille. Graduated from the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg, she works the video medium through documentary-type films and installations. She also has an equally important practice of poetic writing., photography and drawing. The origins of the artist rooted around the Mediterranean, she finds fertile ground there for her production and the reflections she develops.. "When are we at home ? asks Barbara Cassin : this reflection has accompanied his work for several years. In effect, Faustine is interested in questions of belonging of an individual to a place, to the resonance of beings in relation to an earth, to what intimately defines a form of home. Around the complex fabric that is the Mediterranean, she lingers to observe, compare and dissect the elements forming this whole, however so fragmentary.
