Poetry evening in the company of the author and visual artist Faustine Reibaud-Nicoli to the Bateau Blanc bookstore to Brignoles on the occasion of the presentation of his new collection Air Girl carried out within the framework of the “ Reopen the World of the DRAC PACA and cultural summer 2022 set up by the Ministry of Culture” in continuation of the work put in place by the art center with the Henri Guérin Hospital in Pierrefeu and its various branches.

10 first limited edition books, around forty texts and original numbered and signed linocuts, but also small and large independent formats for sale.
The week of creative residency at the Châteauvert Contemporary Art Center allowed the artist to explore the graphic aspect of the project. In effect, in connection with the texts, she makes pen drawings then printed in linocut. The connection between drawing and writing is of particular interest to him.. They make space in their own way both in the page, in the body by the gesture, and by the imagination attracted by the lines, projection. The impression, from memory to trace, seems then to be the most suitable medium for what Faustine wishes to give to read and to see.
“Fille de l’air attempts an intimate dive into the space of the garden and the woman’s body. The poems are articulated like a sort of fragmented discourse, of questioning, a set of thoughts. Those of a woman alone who dialogues with-in a garden. The set is quite sound and sensory, I try to develop a complete space there, dimensional, in permanent balance between interior and exterior, reality and dream. The garden is enveloping, happant, he calls, like a distant roar. Woman and garden meet at a certain time of day or night. The garden is also the fantasy, the area of myth, where we meet dreamlike beings, impossible beings, infinite. The garden as a workshop : Fille de l’air also includes drawing and linocut work.. The rapprochement of the line and the writing particularly interests me in the complicity of the gesture, of the projection, space. Linocut like a trace left, a print or impression, has the substance of memory, this same memory that pushes me to write.”
