The workshop for experimenting – Cyanotype

The second Sunday of the month, the art center mediation team offers an artistic practice workshop.

Topics vary, can be followed from one month to the next. Fun and experimental discovery, come and introduce yourself to a new practice for a Sunday afternoon.

Sunday 11 august, atelier CYANOTYPE: Old monochrome negative photographic process which consists of placing an object on a sensitized paper which is then exposed to direct sunlight to reveal the Prussian blue pigment which forms the background, while the trace of the object remains white.

This technique was developed in 1842 by the English scientist and astronomer John Frederick William Herschel.
