SUMMARY:"Deep in the Wood" par Pierre Beloüin
DESCRIPTION:No and 1973 à Toulon\, Pierre Beloüin a passé son enfance à Salernes\, in Haut-Var. \nPierre Beloüin a été diplômé de l’École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris en 1999. He is a founding member of the Glassbox gallery (1997) and creator of the label and collaborative platform Optical Sound (1997). Artiste hybride et iconoclaste\, directeur artistique et homme-orchestre à ses heures\, Pierre Beloüin is also a teacher at the Toulon School of Art and Design.. His work has been shown in numerous institutions in France and abroad. His works are part of public and private collections. (National Center for Visual Arts (Paris)\, Concrete art space (Mouans-Sartoux)\, (Mécènes du Sud…). His latest monograph was recently published by Presses du Réel. \nLes titres de ses expositions empruntent à une certaine histoire de la musique. La présente exposition\, « Deep In The Wood »\, refers to a song by the Australian punk-rock band Birthday Party which resonates with all the works on display. \nPierre Beloüin traduit – à première vue et comme souvent dans ses projets – l’environnement immédiat de manière littérale. We are talking here about that of the Châteauvert Contemporary Art Center : une sorte de Twin Peaks à la française chargée de forces étranges et telluriques … \nPierre Beloüin opère à sa façon en invitant des amitiés visibles ou quasiment imperceptibles. C’est le cas de la formation musicale et expérimentale anglaise Nurse With Wound\, who is in charge of the exhibition soundtrack. \nL’artiste réactive en outre le travail d’un peintre local du XIXe siècle\, Charles Vourrial\, with the skirmish of a naval battle. Le principal espace d’exposition est organisé autour d’un podium central – sorte de catwalk sans mannequin et vestige d’un défilé invisible\, avec un conifère planté à son extrémité\, the whole being framed by typographical light boxes and a wine bas-relief made up of bottles. \nÀ ce dispositif seront associées sur la durée de l’exposition la plasticienne sonore Alice Dourlen\, the dancer Florie Laroche and the groups Hifiklub and Lune Apache. Dans le jardin de sculptures\, an installation literally coming out of the ground by the genetically modified artist Ludovic Chemarin© completes the whole. \nL’installation Icosajack : V/a (OS.024)\, star sound sculpture from the FRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur collection (PACA)\, presents all the albums released by the Optical Sound label (1997-2020) in the documentary space which overlooks the exhibition room. \nL’exposition « Deep In The Wood » est le lieu de la convergence d’ondes et de formes\, brilliant and vibrant fireflies quivering at the bottom of a white cube losing light and incarnation. SUMMARY:"A century of wine cooperation in the Var"
DESCRIPTION:Pourquoi mettre à l’honneur la coopération vinicole varoise au sein du Musée des Gueules Rouges\, scientific and historical museum dedicated to bauxite mining ? \nTout d’abord\, the museum is housed in the former cooperative cellar of Tourves. D’autre part\, dans le Var\, the history of the mines and that of viticulture are closely linked. On a même tendance\, en grossissant volontairement le trait\, à dire qu’en Provence verte\, on devenait soit mineur\, soit viticulteur.\nLes deux filières font évidemment partie des principales sources d’emploi d’un territoire très peu industrialisé\, in a society of the beginning of the 20th century still essentially rural. Il est même très fréquent de rencontrer des « mineurs-coopérateurs » car pour beaucoup de mineurs\, viticulture is an additional source of income. Comme la plupart des petits propriétaires de vignes\, the miners of the Brignoles mining area were often members of cooperative cellars. \nCette exposition très documentée retrace l’histoire des caves coopératives varoises : leur naissance au début du 20e siècle\, leur développement et leur évolution.\nElle présente également les éléments architecturaux marquants de ces bâtiments iconiques des villages varois.\nUn espace ludique dédié aux enfants\, permettra de s’approprier l’exposition au travers de jeux\, workshops and educational content. \n  \nCliquez ici pour retrouver toutes les informations à propos expositions visitables cet été au sein des établissements culturels de l’Agglomération Provence Verte.
